Welcome to Kathmandu (1,300m)

While entering the border of Nepal, you see the Terai Plain and the everlasting green hills. The Himalayas at the horizon smile over your arrival in Nepal. After Customs clearance, proceed toward the arrival terminal (gate). Our company’s representative receives you and transfers you to the hotel as assigned.

Explore Kathmandu and Trek preparation

The exploration of Kathmandu Valley starts after taking breakfast. You will visit some of the ancient UNESCO heritage which is an important destination. Our tour guide will take you to Pashupatinath Temple and its surroundings to explore. This temple is the holiest destination on Earth for Hindus. The temple’s architecture is a masterpiece to behold. After this, you will visit Boudhanath Stupa which is the largest stupa in Nepal. After exploration, visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, the monkey temple of Nepal. These two stupas are a pious destination for Buddhists. The vibes you get from these places are unworldly and divine. As time goes by, you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, one of the oldest squares in the valley. From here, you can walk up to the Thamel market if you have some shopping left to do for trekking. Or you will be dropped off by your hotel.

Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (827m)

After having breakfast, you drive to Pokhara. The drive to Pokhara is like escaping from the concrete jungle Kathmandu. You can see beautiful mountainscapes and mountain villages. The Trishuli River and the Marshyangdi River flow side to the highway. The mountain villages and small local markets on the way excite your journey to Pokhara. The surrounding hills are always there to distract you from falling asleep.

Drive Pokhara to Galeshwor (921m). Trek to Bas Kharka (1,525m)

Exiting from Pokhara, the smooth road turns to a bumpy and rocky one. En route to Galeshwor via Beni, you can see a pristine green sloped backdrop. At Galeshwor, you stop for Lunch.

From Galeshwor, your amazing trek starts by crossing the suspension bridge. The Kaligandaki River flows underneath the bridge. The trek to Bas Kharka is an uphill climb over the stone steps. The hike continues to orange grooves through small villages. Bas Kharka is a beautiful Magar village. If you have enough time, you can explore the village, the local school, and a health post.

Trek Bas Kharka to Nangi (2,330m)

Having breakfast, you trek toward Nangi; your next stopover. En route, there is a place called Danda Kaske where you stop for lunch. The local people are very enthusiastic and friendly to every traveller. Having some friendly chatters increase mutual bonding with locals.

The onward journey to Nangi is a short beautiful walk. You can see the beautiful close view of Nilgiri and Mt Dhaulagiri (8,167m), the 7th highest mountain in the world. Nangi is the main Magar village in the area. There are various projects for empowering women in this village. There is a local cottage industry of paper factor. They use an available local resource called Lokta which is eco-friendly. This project helps in generating income at the local level.

Trek Nangi to Mohare Danda (3,300m)

Your trek starts with an uphill climb through a beautiful pristine forest. The forest comprises the tree of Oak, Bamboo, and Rhododendrons. At the backdrop, you can see a stunning view of a mountain range stretching as far as the eye can see. The close-up view of Mt Machhapuchre (Mt Fishtail) and Mt Dhaulagiri is the best view you can see. This excites your journey even more.

On the way to Mohare Danda, you might encounter yak grazing in the meadow. Alongside the meadow, the mountain view on the horizon looks amazing. At Mohare Danda, there is the highest Wireless Internet Relay Station. They are providing free internet service to surrounding remote villages. This facility has benefited the health sector. The local health post can contact major hospitals in Kathmandu and Pokhara. They get counseling and medical help which saves lots of life and the time of villagers.

Trek Mohare Danda to Ghorepani (2,874m)

Wake up early in the morning for the beautiful sunrise. Mohare Danda offers the best panoramic view of ranges of mountains. We trek along the ridge and enter the Rhododendron forest. The trail continues up to Poonhill and we enter to Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. Poonhill is the most famous viewing spot for sunrise. You see the stunning view of Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, and Dhaulagiri. We trek down to Ghorepani.

Trek Ghorepani to Dobato (3,420m)

If interested, you can hike up to Poonhill for the sunrise view early in the morning. After breakfast, we trek to Deurali from where our journey split toward Dobato. The trail passes through Rhododendron and Oak Forest. Today, we reach the highest point of this trek, Muldai View Point (3,637m). We trek down for 20 minutes and reach Dobato.

Dobato is a small seasonal settlement where people from Ghandruk, Chuile & Tadapani come. They operate their business during the trekking season only. You have a closer view of Annapurna South and Hiuchuli. After some rest, we hike for 30 minutes to Muldai View Point for one of the most awesome sunset views during this trip. The stunning view of Annapurna South along with more than 18 mountains can be seen. The two viewing spots Mohare Danda and Poonhill are seen below the Muldai viewpoint.

Trek Dobato to Ghandruk (1,940m). Sunrise at Muldai Hill (3,637m)

If you are interested in the best sunrise view, we can again hike to Muldai View Point and return for Breakfast. After breakfast, we trek gradually toward Tadapani. The trail is quiet and silent. There is less chance to meet people on the way. We have our Lunch at Tadapani. Tadapani is one of the busy settlements in the Annapurna Region as the trail split for Annapurna Base Camp.

After lunch, we trek to Ghandruk. The trail descends and passes through a sparse forest before reaching Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a Gurung settlement known for its cultural beauty. It is one of the most beautiful villages in South Asia.

Trek Ghandruk to Nayapul (1,070m). Back to Pokhara

After breakfast, we descend to Nayapul via Syauli Bazaar. The trail to Nayapul is downhill and straight throughout the journey. At Nayapul, our vehicle awaits. Onward journey, we drive back to Pokhara while enjoying natural landscapes and scenery.

Transportation:

In this travel package, we arrange transport facilities for Arrival & Departure depending upon the group size. For sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley, we arrange a good vehicle. The Drop facility to Galeshwor and the Pickup facility from Nayapul are within this package. The vehicle will be nice and clean for transfer. During trek transfer, we provide 4WD transport as the ride is rough & bumpy. In the case of extra transportation arrangements (leaving the trek earlier from the group or other destinations not mentioned), you are responsible for an extra cost.

Accommodation:

The accommodation at Kathmandu & Pokhara is in a 3-star hotel on a BB basis. During the trek, each night you stay in a tea house/guesthouse run by local communities. Most of the tea houses are basic yet comfortable. The room is on a shared basis with two beds. You will have a common hall for your meal & relaxing. In some places, the washroom (toilet) during the trek is the Squat toilet and is used as a sharing one. We are not responsible for extra night accommodation in Kathmandu, Pokhara, or other destinations. You might have to take extra night accommodation due to early arrival, late departure, early return from the trek, or due to any other reasons than the scheduled itinerary. You have to bear the cost of crew members as well as yours for meals & accommodation if you have to take an extra day in the trek.

Permit:

You are travelling to the Annapurna Region and require permits for the trip. The permits required during the Mohare Poonhill Muldai Hill Trek are: 1. ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) Permit 2. TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) Card

Meals:

At Kathmandu & Pokhara, Breakfast is from the hotel side while the guest has to arrange Lunch and Dinner on their own. At the same time, it is the best chance to explore Nepali-style food in Nepali Restaurants. On request, Lunch & Dinner is served. Farewell dinner will be served on behalf of Lets Trip Nepal Adventure Pvt. Ltd. The meal during the Mohare Poonhill Muldai Hill Trek will be a simple and authentic Nepalese style. Breakfast and dinner will be served at the tea house where you are staying overnight, and lunch will be served on the way. During community homestay, the meals will be served in a community hall where every traveller gathers and have their meal. A Lunch box is prepared when trekking from Nangi to Mohare Hill. The meals provided are fresh, organic, and locally grown vegetables. We don’t recommend having non-veg items (meats & dairy) during the trek, as they are not hygienic & healthy. Consumption of alcoholic drinks, caffeinated items & hot chocolate is bad during high altitude trek. All the Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be in the package during the trek.

Physical Condition & Experience Required:

The Mohare Poonhill Muldai Trek is moderate. You descend and ascend slowly while taking a rest. Your body condition doesn’t need to be top-notched. But the trek will be easier and more successful if you could walk 5-6 hours per day. Beware of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) while trekking. There is a gain in altitude and your body must be well-acclimatized. To have the stabilized stamina, attitude and determination you can have a week-long walking practice before your trek day. If you have any critical problems like heart disease, blood cancer, lungs problem, and other life-threatening diseases, please consult your doctor before trekking and take the necessary measures. You must inform any kind of such complication to Lets Trip Nepal Adventure Pvt. Ltd. as well.

Best Time to Travel:

The best time to experience Mohare Poonhill Muldai Hill Trek will be in Autumn (September–November) and Spring (March-May). This is the best time to explore the unexplored terrain and the climatic condition is favorable. The weather will be warm, clean, and sunny with an incredible view of mountains and hills on the horizon. Get awed by the beautiful sunrise and sunset experience. During spring, different colours of Rhododendron cover the forest region. The winter season (December–February) is cold for trekking. The summer/monsoon season (June–August) is also favourable for trekking yet the trail is slippery. Be prepared for rainfall.

Tipping:

Tipping is solely a traveller’s choice, be more or less entirely their perception. The wages provided to Guide(s) & Porter(s) for the trek are basic wages which will be used for meals & accommodation. Normally, tips are offered at the end of the trek or the end of the whole trip. The amount to give is decided by the group depending upon your perception of service quality, length of trip, budget, and appreciation of their work. In Nepalese culture, tipping is the way to express your happiness about the trip and our service quality. Our company crews; Guide(s), Porter(s) & driver(s) are always there for you to take care and make your trip a success – the trip of a lifetime experience.

Baggage Limit:

The weight limit for your baggage is 8 kg per trekker. Porters will be assigned to carry your baggage for your trek. One porter will carry the bags of two guests. The combined baggage should not exceed more than 16 kg. We are travelling to higher altitudes and should think about porters as well. So, we never overload our porters. You should carry your knapsack or backpack (with your valuables or anything important) on your own. Only carry what are essentials, you have to leave any excess baggage either at your hotel or at the Lets Trip Nepal Adventure store for free and it’ll be completely safe.

Medical Kits:

Your trekking trail goes to the remote destinations of Nepal. Most of the places don’t have a good health centre or even medicine at the time. So, you have to carry the necessary medicine and think about travel safety. Our, guide(s) and porter(s) will not be responsible for bad health hazards due to the use of any medicine. They are only responsible to make your treks successful and give guidance during the trip.

Risk & Liabilities:
