3 Hours Before Flight Time
Ghorepani Muldai Viewpoint Trek is a short trek to the remote Annapurnas. This trek lets you experience the remote wilderness of Nepal. The best thing about this trek is the best sunrise and sunset view from Muldai Hill.
While entering the border of Nepal, you see the Terai Plain and the everlasting green hills. The Himalayas at the horizon smile over your arrival in Nepal. After Customs clearance, proceed toward the arrival terminal (gate). Our company’s representative receives you and transfers to the hotel as assigned.
The exploration of Kathmandu valley starts after taking breakfast. You will visit some of the ancient UNESCO heritage which is an important destination. Our tour guide will take you to Pashupatinath Temple and its surroundings to explore. This temple is the holiest destination on Earth for Hindu. The temple’s architecture is a masterpiece to behold. After this, you will visit Boudhanath Stupa which is the largest stupa in Nepal. After exploration, visit Swoyambhunath Stupa, the monkey temple of Nepal. These two stupas are a pious destination for Buddhists. The vibes you get from these places are unworldly and divine. As time goes by, you will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, one of the oldest squares in the valley. From here, you can walk up to the Thamel market if you have some shopping left to do for trekking.
After having breakfast, you drive to Pokhara. The drive to Pokhara is like escaping from concrete jungle Kathmandu. You can see beautiful mountainscapes and mountain villages. The Trishuli River and the Marshyangdi River flows side to the highway. The mountain villages and small local market on the way excite your journey to Pokhara. The surrounding hills are always there to distract you from falling asleep.
After early morning breakfast at Pokhara, we drive to Nayapul – the starting point for the trek. The trek starts with an easy walk crossing the bridge. We enter the village and walk along the Modi River. The road to Tikhedhunga is accessible with a dusty road. But we will walk and reach Tikhedhunga. Take rest and enjoy the first day of the trek.
The trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani will be comparatively more difficult and strenuous. We have to climb uphill up to Ulleri and we ascend slowly. We will reach to Ghorepani passing through a forest of Rhododendron. Enroute, we might encounter wild animals and birds. We enjoy the nature trail and its beauty on the way to Ghorepani. The Rhododendron forest opens up and settlement appears. That’s a Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a settlement just below Poonhill. This place used to be the gathering point for shepherds to let their horse drink water.
The very early morning at dawn, we trek to Poonhill for about 45 minutes. Poonhill is a famous viewpoint for sunrise. This is a major touristic destination for trekkers who trek in the Annapurna region. As the sunrays kiss the Annapurna and Hiuchuli, you get to indulge in the moments of happiness. Capture the moments and we return to Ghorepani. Your trek to Dobato starts after having breakfast. You leave the main trail and start an exciting journey to a remote area of the Annapurna region. The trail passes to the rhododendron forest and crosses beautiful mountain villages. En route, we will see wildflowers, plants, and animals. As the trek ascends to the northern ridgeline, the view opens up with stunning Annapurna South Massifs. Get enthralled with the beauty of Nature. We reach Dobato – a remote settlement in the Annapurna region. If you have the stamina, we climb up to Muldai Viewpoint for sunset – it’s worth hiking up.
At dawn, we hike for an hour for the best sunrise view over the Annapurna South. This is the main highlight of the trek. If you miss this view, you will be missing the main essence of this trek. After the sunrise view, we trek down to Dobato and have breakfast. We trek down to Tadapani and have lunch over. The trail to Ghandruk is an easy and merry one. Ghandruk is a Gurung settlement famous for the Gurung culture and their hospitality. You can explore the village and visit the Gurung museum too. Enjoy the great view of Mt Macchapuchre and Hiuchuli from the village.
After breakfast, your trek starts. The trail descends from Ghandruk. The backdrop of Mt Macchapuchre and Hiuchuli is so beautiful to behold. Indulging over the week-long memories and having a happy face we reach Nayapul. From Nayapul, we drive to Pokhara and rest day afterward.
After breakfast, you drive to Kathmandu retracing the same route. You enjoy the natural landscape and scenery on the way.
Enjoy your final day at Kathmandu. Free till final departure. Transfer to the airport 3 hours before the flight time.
In this travel package, we arrange transport facilities for Arrival & Departure depending upon the group size. For sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley, we arrange a good vehicle. The Drop and Pickup facility from Nayapul is within this package. The vehicle will be nice and clean for transfer. During trek transfer, we provide transport depending upon the number of travelers. Half of the journey is rough & bumpy.
In the case of extra transportation arrangements (leaving the trek earlier from the group or other destinations not mentioned), you are responsible for an extra cost.
The accommodation at Kathmandu & Pokhara is in the 3-star hotel on a BB basis. During the trek, each night you stay on a tea house/guesthouse run by local communities. Most of the tea houses are basic yet comfortable. The room is on a sharing basis with two beds. You will have a common hall for your meal & relaxing. In some places, the washroom (toilet) during the trek is the Squat toilet and used as a sharing one.
We are not responsible for extra night accommodation in Kathmandu, Pokhara or other destinations. You might have to take extra night accommodation due to early arrival, late departure, early return from the trek, or due to any other reasons than the scheduled itinerary. You have to bear the cost of crew members as well as yours for meal & accommodation if you have to take an extra day in the trek.
You are travelling to the Annapurna Region and require permits for the trip. The permits required during the Ghorepani Muldai Viewpoint Trek are;

At Kathmandu & Pokhara, Breakfast is from the hotel side while the guest has to arrange Lunch and Dinner on their own. At the same time, it is the best chance to explore Nepali style food in Nepali Restaurants. On request, the Lunch & Dinner is served. The meal during the Ghorepani Muldai Viewpoint Trek will be a simple and authentic Nepalese style. The breakfast and the dinner will be served at the tea house where you are staying overnight, and the lunch will be served on the way. The meals provided are fresh, organic, and locally grown vegetables. We don’t recommend having non-veg items (meats & dairy) during the trek, as they are not hygienic & healthy. Consumption of alcoholic drinks, caffeinated items & hot chocolate are bad during high altitude trek. All the Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be in the package during the trek.
The Ghorepani Muldai Viewpoint Trek is moderate. You descend and ascend slowly while taking rest. It is not necessary your body condition should be in top-notched. But the trek will be easier and successful if you could walk 5-6 hours per day. Beware of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) while trekking. There is gain in altitude and your body must be well acclimatized. To have the stabilized stamina, attitude and determination you can have a week-long walking practice before your trek day. If you have any critical problems like heart diseases, blood cancer, lungs problem, and other life-threatening diseases, please consult your doctor before trekking and take necessary measures. The best time to experience Ghorepani Muldai Viewpoint Trek will be in Autumn (September–November) and Spring (March-May). This is the best time to explore the unexplored terrain and the climatic condition is favorable. The weather will be warm, clean, and sunny with an incredible view of mountains and hills on the horizon. During spring, different colours of Rhododendron cover the forest region. The winter season (December–February) is cold for trekking. Snow might be an obstacle on the journey The summer/monsoon season (June–August) is also favorable for trekking yet the trail is slippery. Be prepared for rainfall.
Tipping is solely a traveller’s choice, be more or less entirely their perception. The wages provided to Guide(s) & Porter(s) for the trek are basic wage which will be used for meals & accommodation. Normally, tips are offered at the end of the trek or end of the whole trip. The amount to give is decided by the group depending upon your perception of service quality, length of trip, budget, and appreciation of their work. In Nepalese culture, tipping is the way to express your happiness about the trip and our service quality. The weight limit for your luggage is 8 kg per trekker. Porters will be assigned to carry your luggage for your trek. One porter will carry the bags of two guests. The combined luggage should not exceed more than 16 kg. We are travelling to higher altitudes and should think about porters as well. So, we never overload our porters. You should carry your own knapsack or backpack (with your valuables or anything important) on your own. Only carry what are essentials, you have to leave any excess baggage either at your hotel or at the Lets Trip Nepal Adventure store for free and it’ll be completely safe.
Your trekking trail goes to the remote destinations of Nepal. Most of the places don’t have a good health center or even medicine at a time. So, you have to carry the necessary medicine and think about travel safety. Our, guide(s) and porter(s) will not be responsible for bad health hazards due to the use of any medicine. They are only responsible to make your treks successful and give guidance during the trip.
