1 Hours Before Flight Time
The early morning flight departs from Kathmandu Airport. Get your boarding pass and fly for the spectacular scenery of the Himalayas. For your convenience, a map of mountain ranges is available so it’s easier to identify important peaks. The hostesses are there if you have any questions. You fly toward the east. It won’t take long to see the mountains. The air hostess identifies each peak that you see. The pilot invites each passenger at the cockpit to take pictures of Mount Everest from their large widescreen.
At first, to your left and far, you can see Gosaithan also called Shisha Pangma. It is standing high and aloft at an altitude of 26,290 ft (8,013m). Immediately to the right of Gosaithan, Dorje Lakpa (7,000m) appears. This mountain almost looks like figure 8 lying in the snow. To the right of Dorje Lakpa, you will see Phurbi-Chyachu, which looms over the Kathmandu valley. As you soar further, the mountain view gets closer and more spectacular. You come across Choba-Bhamare and then Guari Shankar, a spiritual mountain. This mountain is the domain of Lord Shiva and his consort Gauri. Melungtse, Chugimago, Numbur, and Karyolung are the next mountain attraction. As you go deeper region of Himalayas, you can see the 6th highest mountain Cho Oyu (8,201m). Afterward, we see Gyachungkang, Pumori and Nuptse, each over 7000m height. At last, you can see Mt Everest, 29,021ft (8,848m) dominating all the surrounding peaks.
You return to Kathmandu after our 1-hour spectacular mountain flight to Everest. If the weather is not suitable for Everest viewing you will be either offered a refund or the option to fly again.
